Hey there! I’m Liza!
I'm on a journey to improve daily life through beautiful and functional design. It led me from my hometown of Miami, FL to Evanston, IL, where I'm studying Manufacturing and Design Engineering (MaDE) at Northwestern University.
From my early love of art, my creativity transitioned into crafting and further evolved into tinkering. Now, I find myself operating lathes, laser-cutters, mills, and more.
Throughout my coursework, I've explored mechanical, electrical, and structural design. However, my favorite aspect is connecting with clients and users. Observing, listening, and understanding their needs add a whole new level of meaning to the design process.
I'm a strong advocate for integrating communication strategies into design work. That's why I've ventured into the world of stand-up comedy as a student at The Second City in Chicago. I'm constantly seeking creative ways to effectively communicate ideas.
During my free time, I enjoy running, exploring Chicago, and spending time outdoors.
I hope you enjoy perusing my work as much as I enjoyed creating it!
Feel free to reach out—I'd love to connect!
